Greasy

Made my hair a grease pit. Can't use it.

Hi Teresa,

Oh, no! I am so sorry to hear that.
All is not lost yet though.
This is a product that works amazingly for some people, and others not so much. It depends on 2 things: the type of hair you have, and the amount you use. I am a curly girl, as seen below, but my hair is very fine, and goes greasy super quick. If you're willing to give it another try, I would recommend using a very, very tiny amount, like the size of a lentil to start. Rub it throughout your hands before applying. It's not like a typical gel. It's very unique.
If it still just isn't working, please let me know. We have a Happiness Guarantee. If you are not happy, we will refund you for your purchase.
Just let me know!

Third time for me!

I keep coming back for more because the Second Life Hair Butter works so well on my thick, long, somewhat coarse hair. A little bit is all that's needed.

Hair butter

The hair butter is very nice, I live in Wyoming and it is very dry here. My hair feels so much better.

Great for curls and calming the frizz

I have wavy curly hair that can and will easily frizz up. This hair butter is the only item that calms my frizz without weighing down my hair and lets my curls shine. Plus I love the fact that it's all natural and actually healthy for my hair.

Hair Butter

I have tried sooo many hair products over the years, including OlaPlex and K18. I let my very fine gray hair grow out during COVID and decided to buy MadeOn Second Life Hair Butter - I don't know why. I love their soaps, and added this to my order. The first time I tried it after washing my hair, I used too much. My hair was pretty 'greasy' looking on the ends (wasn't greasy feeling). I wasn't going anywhere that day, so decided to leave it until the next morning when I washed my hair again. My hair was amazing - my hair was smooth & I didn't have the usual frizz that I normally do. I use a hot brush and a steam flat iron around my face and my hair looked great. Same results the 2nd time, smooth and no frizz - I used very little; a very small amount goes a long way!
Very happy with Second Life Hair Butter!

Love this product

I've used Second Life hair butter for years. It's the best product I've found for my thick, coarse grey hair. People have complimented me on the hint of shine is gives my hair. And it lasts a long time - a little goes a long way. Just as important to me, the container and packaging are completely plastic-free. Also Renee's service is top-notch.

A Staple For Hy Hair Routine

This product is a game changer for thick, coarse hair. Due to my Polynesian and Portuguese ethnicity, my hair is just that - hip length, thick and coarse. A tiny amount of this applied to my hair creates a softness and frizz free hair experience like no other product I’ve tried, and I’ve tried MANY.

I’ve come to the realization that less is more when it comes to hair and skin products. Quality NATURAL ingredients has outperformed whatever leading products found in most stores with a bunch of unnatural ingredients or with preservatives that seem counterintuitive to its beneficial ingredients.

If your hair is fine and/or prone to becoming greasy easily, this may not be the product for you. Also, if you use too much, it will create a greasy look, regardless of your hair type.

Love it

I am hesitant to try curly hair products as they always disappoint. I like the hair butter—it softens my dry frizzy hair but it also isn’t too heavy for my fine 3b/c curls. Just start off with a little and add more as needed!

Good stuff

I really like this hair butter. I use it as a leave in conditioner. I apply it in the shower, after I have squeezed the excess water out of my hair. This does not take the place of a styler for me (I use a cream or mousse), but I can skip it if I choose to and this hair butter gives me a softer beachy look. Lasts a long time, I've had it 6 months and it's only half gone. Also works well as a lotion.
