Wood Soap Pallet (choose 1)
Stock up with a 2-pack- one for every sink in the house! Or Choose 1 soap pallet with 1/2 bar soap.
Wooden soap dishes are a must have for any handmade soap user! These soap savers will help your soap last much longer by allowing your handmade soaps to dry between uses.
We recently (August 2016) switched from pine wood to white oak. They are half the size of our previous pallets, giving you more space on your counter, while reminding you to set the bar on its side to keep to soap from sticking to the deck. We find this is an improvement after a few complaints about the soap sticking to our previous, larger soap decks. We've also had a couple customers thank us for the smaller decks that take up less space on the counter.
Here's what the soap maker says about his handcrafted soap decks:
"White oak is the strongest, most rot-resistant wood in North America and will last for years. Wide, deep grooves allow water to drain away and air to circulate around your bar of soap, extending its useful life. No more “gucky” soap! TIP: If a lot of soap residue does build up on the soap rest, simply toss it into the laundry! Each soap rest is sanded and left unfinished - no oils to go rancid, no finish to wear away."
Did you catch that tip? Throw it in the laundry for easy cleaning (NOT the dryer, however).
These handcrafted wood soap saver dishes are approximately 3/4" x 2" x 3-1/2": the perfect dimensions for your high quality and natural soaps. The top of the plank has ridges to allow the soap to dry quickly between uses. This drying makes your homemade soap last as long as possible.
You should expect the wood to darken in time as the oils of the soap penetrate the wood.
Please note that since wood is an organic product, no two soap saver dishes will look exactly the same. Even if your soap dish does not look exactly like the one in the photo, the quality will be the same.
Love the soap pallet. I do like the newer design of the smaller pallet. If you have a problem with your soap sticking, just run your wet bar of soap over the pallet, so a little oil penetrates, and place your soap across the end of the pallet to let the oil soak into wood & dry.
The soap pallet works great and is easy to clean. I have used mine for over a year and just ordered two more for use in different rooms.
I really like these, they look nice and work great!
I've bought several and I vastly prefer them to any storage method I've been exposed to before. Simple wood pallets, but they're ace at both showcasing and protecting your soaps from undue moisture. Get one for every MadeOn product you intend to keep in your bathroom. Those soaps are worth protecting, and these pallets do a great job.
I have ordered many of these to pair with soap for gifts. Lovely and people are always amazed when I tell them just toss in with your wash if they get a soap bud-up on them.
