When do the products expire?
We guarantee 6 months from the time of purchase. If there is any change in the product like ingredient separation due to temperature changes, or other change in appearance, we will replace it at no cost. As for expiration, the products have a minimum of a year or longer before any type of rancidity could develop.
What is the typical length of time a bar of Beesilk will last for daily full body use?
It depends :) First, if you're using a small/pocket size bar (.71 oz) daily, it should easily last two weeks if used primarily on the hands and feet. A full-size (2 oz) bar can last a month or longer if used daily, primarily on the hands and feet. If you're looking for all-over body lotion, the bars do work.
However, because it takes extra work to apply to the skin areas that don't need as intense of massaging, I recommend using Beesilk Jr for all skin areas other than hands and feet. Find it here: https://store.hardlotion.com/products/beesilk-junior
Can the products melt during shipment?
If you know you will be out of town for several days and your package will sit in a hot mailbox, we recommend waiting until someone is home to receive them. If your package is not delivered intact, let us know asap and we'll take care of that for you.
Will the bars melt in high heat (like when I travel)?
Our lotion bars and other products are great for travel because they are in solid form and do not melt easily. In fact, they also do not count toward TSA's 3-1-1 Liquids Rule.
More about traveling with skin care and TSA here: https://hardlotion.com/what-skin-care-can-you-take-on-board-the-airplane/
If the lotion bars are exposed to high heat (temperatures above 120 degrees), they can soften, or if they're exposed to 140+ degrees and/or in direct sunlight, they can soften to the point of melting.
What if the product doesn't work for me?
If you are not happy with your product for any reason, let us know and we will refund your order.
How can the products last so long when there are no preservatives?
They are anhydrous (they don't contain water). If a product contains water (or an aqueous solution like hydrosol, herbal infusions, aloe vera), it needs a preservative.
What do you recommend for eczema?
While we can't claim to cure skin conditions like eczema or psoriasis, many of our customers have been helped by our Beesilk bars and Beesilk Jr. while they look into the cause of their skin condition. We have many articles on our blog that can help steer you in the right direction to get to the root cause, which is often happening internally (oftentimes, eczema can be triggered by the diet... you may want to try eliminating dairy, gluten or one of the other common allergens). I have more than one discount code that I want to use, but the checkout page won't allow it.
You are only allowed to use one code at a time.
What if the product I want is out of stock?
On the page where a product is out of stock, there's a box where you can enter your email to be notified the minute we put the product back in stock. You'll be the first to know.
What are your shipping costs?

Do you ship to Canada? (or other country)

Can Beesilk be used on the lips?
