5 Benefits of Avocados for the Face
Should you wash your face with soap?
No! Not if your facial soap contains any of these ingredients:
- Fragrance (don't be fooled by the single name "fragrance" - many companies use fragrances that are loaded with multiple synthetic chemicals that may wreak havoc on your skin.)
- Parabens (they mimic the hormone estrogen and starts to act like estrogen in your body. Don't mess with hormone disruptors.)
- Sulfates (they're responsible for the rich lather your soap offers, BUT... they also strip your skin of its natural oils and dry out the skin. Before you acne-suffering gals think this is a good thing, think again. Your body will just produce more oil.)
- Vitamin E (if you're gluten-free, you need a vitamin e that is NOT wheat based. Most contain wheat. Our soap does not.)
Instead, wash your face made with goat milk, avocado oil and pure avocado puree...
5 Reasons why you should wash with Avocado Soap
(it's time to ditch other cleansers)
- So that your face feels supple. Avocados contain copious amounts of Vitamins A, D & E. These three vitamins affect the structural framework of skin cells, improving the suppleness of dry or aging skin.
- So that your skin is protected. Avocados contain Omega 3 Fatty Acids – fatty acids help strengthen cell membranes. The membranes help the cells hold water, which then helps the skin perform its protective, barrier function.
- So that your skin looks vibrant. Avocados are a great source of protein – protein is important for beautiful skin, hair and nails. It is critical to collagen production. Consuming protein is important internally & externally.
- So that your skin is soft, and has less a chance of age spots. Sterolin is found in high concentration in Avocado oil. Science has proven sterolin actually softens the skin and reduces both the appearance and incidence of age spots.
- So that your skin stays hydrated. Avocados are loaded with Potassium – a key mineral for the skin, helping cells maintain their hydration, keeping the skin moist and the lipid layer strong. When potassium levels are low, skin cells begin to lose water. The skin begins to sag as elastin and connective tissue weaken.
